  14. { MONEY & BANKS }  is an easy-to-use personal banking system with an unusually
  15. attractive interface for the DOS environment.  It is fast, efficient, and
  16. maintains accurate records for personal or small business checking, NOW, and
  17. money market accounts.  Unlike most other personal financial programs, { MONEY
  18. & BANKS }  is NOT designed by formal accountants, has no double-entry bookkeep-
  19. ing, and does not bog the user down in obscure, irrelevant detail.  It is,
  20. therefore, simple and a joy to use.  This software allows one to do his/her
  21. banking with automatic assignment of allocations, but NO "budget forecasting"
  22. or loan amortization tables or other superfluous modules that slow the exe-
  23. cution of the program and the task at hand.

  25. The graphics-quality interface is second-to-none in all of commercially avail-
  26. able banking software for DOS computers, including the top-rated programs
  27. available in stores at more than twice the price.

  29. Features include on-line  { TREE-SAVER }  documentation, context-sensitive help,
  30. hot-key calculator and calendar, check printing on regular bank-printed per-
  31. sonal- or business-size checks (no special-order checks!), and a mailing label
  32. writer for paying bills that come with no return envelopes.  Reports are auto-
  33. matically generated from a multiple selection of pre-designed queries and are
  34. beautifully shown on the screen or sent to a wide variety of printers.  A util-
  35. ities menu offers automatic, reliable backups, system information, a credit
  36. cards minder, a securities (CD's / Bonds / Portfolio) table, and other selec-
  37. tions.  There is no practical limit on the number of accounts that may be used
  38. and the account tables may grow to sizes not even imaginable in most other
  39. programs.  The automatic and simple-to-use reconciliation module for monthly
  40. bank statements is a feature alone worth twice the low registration price.

  42. The "unregistered copy" version is fully functional, except for the automatic
  43. end-of-year archive and purge of data tables available in the registered ver-
  44. sion.  It allows a generous evaluation period so that the user may determine
  45. whether or not to purchase a registered copy that also does not have the "un-
  46. registered" reminder screen at the outset.  The full registration fee is only
  47. $25.00.

  49. { MONEY & BANKS }  will work on PC's with a minimum of 512k of memory, DOS
  50. 3.1 or greater, and any video system (although there are some VGA-specific
  51. features that are compensated for with other video cards, including mono-
  52. chrome).  Expanded memory will be utilized if it is present, but is not re-
  53. quired.  Mouse support is provided; however, a mouse is not necessary to use
  54. the program.  A hard disk is mandatory.  Installation is quick, easy, and
  55. offers an option to print the formatted documentation.
